Biography

Brooke Lyons grew up in Connecticut, where she spent her childhood riding horses in the English style, wearing penny loafers in an un-ironic manner and, as Scorpios are wont to do, pondering the mysteries of existence.

A gifted ballet dancer, she studied at Manhattan’s Joffrey Ballet, the Boston Ballet and Rosella Hightower’s school in Cannes, France. By sixteen, she was a company member at New England Ballet, where she danced principal roles including “Juliet” in Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, the “Sugar Plum Fairy” in Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and the title role in Stravinsky’s Firebird.

As an English major at Yale University, Brooke became fascinated by Romantic poetry, 19th century novels and the rabbit hole that is theater. It was there that she cut her teeth on a broad spectrum of plays including Neil Simon’s Rumors, George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House, and Jean Genet’s The Maids.

Currently, Brooke lives in Los Angeles, where she acts in television and film. She is best known as “Peach” from 2 Broke Girls, as well as for her roles in Jane By Design, Royal Pains and Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins. She also writes for HelloGiggles, Move LifeStyle and The Conversation.
